Mission To Mastery Tutoring
My name is Arjun, and I am a passionate educator and medical student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I'm originally from Frisco, TX, and have over six years of experience tutoring students from elementary through college levels. I graduated with Honors from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S., double majoring in Molecular & Cellular Biology and Applied Mathematics & Statistics with a minor in Space Science and Engineering. After beginning my journey as a math tutor in high school, I quickly expanded to all things STEM in college. Whether it's learning the basics of adding numbers or the complexity of mechanisms in Organic Chemistry, I appreciate the process of helping students find their way to academic mastery. I also have a great deal of experience advising and preparing students applying to college and medical school. From admissions tests to essay revisions, I will be there to help you no matter what you may need.

MCAT Study Coach Who Raised His Score from 496 to 514 (89th %ile)
Hi I'm Phil! I graduated summa cum laude from Rowan University with a B.S. in Biology and an Honors Concentration. I've always loved helping others learn, and my academic background reflects that dedication. I scored a 514 (89th percentile) on the MCAT on my first attempt, with a 130 in Bio/Biochem, and raised my own practice score from a 496 diagnostic to a 517 practice test. That experience taught me effective study strategies, how to structure long-term prep, and how to break down challenging scientific concepts in a clear and approachable way.
I've been tutoring for nearly a decade, beginning in high school where I helped middle school students with homework and test prep. During college, I tutored K-5 students at the Mosaic Family Success Center, working with many from underserved backgrounds. I also ran a business throughout my undergraduate years and trained a team with a wide range of skill levels, which strengthened my ability to explain complex tasks step-by-step and tailor instruction to each learner's needs.
I now specialize in MCAT preparation and focus on building strong content understanding, realistic study plans, and effective test-taking strategies. My teaching style is structured, patient, and adaptable. I enjoy simplifying difficult topics, helping students build confidence, and creating a customized approach based on each person's goals and timeline.
I'm always happy to answer questions, adjust lessons, and support you throughout your prep. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to learn more or schedule a session. I'd love to help you reach your target score!
