Preparing for professional exams is tough; you have to study after hours while keeping up your day job, your school work, etc. - often at the expense of your free time on nights and weekends. Most exam prep today doesn't make this any easier on us. It doesn't fit our mobile lifestyles and busy schedules, or give us any insight into what we know or don't know as we're studying.

We built Achievable to solve these problems, and to give our colleagues and peers the best way to study for the most important exams of their careers.

Achievable's content experts

Our review board includes experienced educators, industry professionals, and certified specialists who bring deep expertise in their respective fields—from standardized tests like the GRE and ACT, to professional licensing exams like the FINRA Series 7 and USMLE.

Achievable's founders

Justin Pincar

Managing Director

Justin co-founded Achievable in 2016 and leads our engineering, product, and content development. He has spent over 15 years building software used by millions of people, more than a decade of it in education technology.

Justin began his career as an engineer at AdMob, where he rebuilt the AdWhirl mediation platform to serve over a billion ad impressions per day, and stayed through its acquisition by Google. He then moved into education full time—as a founding engineer at University Now, building the learning management system behind accredited online universities, and as Director of Engineering at Cerego, where he led the team rebuilding its memory-based adaptive learning platform.

Working in adaptive learning while using spaced repetition to teach himself Japanese convinced Justin the same methods could transform how people prepare for high-stakes exams. Achievable is the result. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University.

Tyler York

CEO

Tyler co-founded Achievable in 2016 and leads our sales, marketing, and partnerships. He brings over 15 years of taking products to market across early-stage startups, mobile gaming, and enterprise software.

Tyler started out as the first marketing hire at Betable, then ran sales and marketing at Fuel Powered, whose platform reached more than 80 million users. After a run in enterprise sales at Anaplan, he took over product marketing for Glu Mobile's MLB Tap Sports Baseball, growing it from $74 million to $104 million in annual revenue and making it the top licensed mobile sports game in the United States. Glu was acquired by Electronic Arts in 2021.

Tyler applies the engagement and retention craft of free-to-play games to a harder problem: keeping learners motivated through weeks of exam prep. He works alongside our subject matter experts on everything we publish—courses, blog articles, and video. He holds a business degree from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business.
